For whom?
' You don't learn to talk from a book either...'
For whom are these CopyMe and Improvisation exercises?
This method has been specially developed for saxophone players (as well as trombonists, trumpet players, flutists, clarinet players, oboists, etc.) who want to practice and enjoy playing by heart and on intuition, without using sheet music. You can play and have fun with all these exercises at home, independently!/
At what level can you start with these exercises?
This method is suitable for both beginners and advanced players. A certain degree of instrument control is necessary, of course. You need to know how your instrument works and how to get a reasonable sound from it. But you don't have to be able to read music, and you don't need any theoretical knowledge either.
If you'd like to, you even could do all the exercises with your eyes closed...
This can also be a welcome addition for students and teachers at music schools. Working aurally and also improvising often falls short, partly because a lot of the teachers are not trained yet with auditive playing. The exercises are self-explanatory, but in the beginning, I’ll give you some start-up tips.
